Will they fit over my boots?
Yes. The wrap design goes over standard hiking, work and rubber boots, and the instep strap adjusts beneath the sole. If you wear unusually bulky insulated boots, measure the calf over everything and check against 12 to 20 inches.
Are they snake proof?
The entire gaiter is built using 36 rigid panels under a 1200D weave, making it highly snake resistant, and the front protective panel is greatly reinforced specifically against snakes because that's where a strike is most likely to land. The manufacturer states the material was tested for mechanical puncture resistance to ASTM F1342-05. It does not protect uncovered areas and should always be used alongside appropriate outdoor precautions.
Can I walk comfortably in them?
Yes you can. They are built light, with segmented panels that flex with your stride instead of fighting it. Fasten both straps snug but not tight, and they move with you.
