By using this website or placing an order, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not order.

1. Who we are. Shin Oak Gears is an online retailer of protective outdoor gear, operated from the United Kingdom, selling and shipping to customers in the United States. Contact: info@shinoakgears.com

2. Products and descriptions. We describe our products as accurately as we can, and we deliberately publish their limits as well as their strengths. Colours vary between screens. Specifications, materials data, and test references are supplied by the manufacturer and stated as such; we present them honestly and we do not independently verify laboratory claims.

3. Product use and safety. Read this one properly. Our gaiters are protective apparel designed to REDUCE, not eliminate, the risk of a snake strike, thorn, or abrasion reaching your lower leg. No gaiter is snake proof. No protective gear eliminates risk, and we will never claim otherwise. They cover the lower leg only, not above the knee, and they are not a substitute for caution, awareness, or professional safety equipment where that is required. Wear them over boots and long trousers with every strap fastened, as intended. Do not modify, cut, or repair them. If you are bitten, seek emergency medical care immediately regardless of what you were wearing. You use this product at your own risk and you accept responsibility for your own safety decisions outdoors.

4. Pricing. All prices are in US dollars and include no hidden fees. We may change prices at any time, but never after you have placed an order. Where a compare-at price is shown, it is our own list price for that product, not an invented figure. If a product is listed at an obviously incorrect price because of a technical error, we may cancel the order and refund you in full rather than honour it, and we will tell you why.

5. Orders. Your order is an offer to buy. We may refuse or cancel any order, including for suspected fraud, a pricing error, or stock we cannot source, and we will refund you in full if we do. Placing an order means you confirm the shipping details you entered are correct.

6. Shipping and returns. Governed by our Shipping Policy and Refund Policy, which form part of these terms.

7. Intellectual property. The Shin Oak Gears name, logo, product photography, diagrams, and site copy belong to us. Do not copy or reuse them commercially without written permission.

8. Acceptable use. Do not use this site unlawfully, attempt to breach its security, scrape it, or submit false information.

9. Reviews and submissions. Any review or content you send us may be published. We publish real customer reviews only. We do not write, buy, or import reviews, and we never edit a review to change its meaning.

10. Limitation of liability. To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to a product or this site is limited to the amount you paid for that product. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.

11. Third party links. Any external link is provided for convenience and we are not responsible for other sites’ content or policies.

12. Changes. We may update these terms and the current version always lives on this page.

13. Governing law. These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Nothing here removes any mandatory consumer protection you have under the laws of your own state or country.
